在氣相流化床聚丙烯工藝中，反應器內的丙烷由原料丙烯帶入，隨排放氣進入回收系統(tǒng)后排出。丙烷在反應器內不參與化學反應，其作用是與丙烯一起維持反應器C3分壓和冷凝量的穩(wěn)定，與氮氣組成反應器內惰性組分的動態(tài)平衡。操作經(jīng)驗表明，當丙烷濃度維持在正常范圍內時，會有效增加反應熱的移除能力，保證聚合反應催化劑活性的相對穩(wěn)定，同時具有降低丙烯單耗和抑制靜電的作用。但如果反應器內的丙烷濃度偏高，特別是在生產(chǎn)負荷較高時，就會給產(chǎn)品出料以及回收系統(tǒng)帶來波動，影響反應器內丙烯分壓的正常維持，降低反應器的產(chǎn)率和抗干擾能力，給生產(chǎn)長周期平穩(wěn)運行帶來隱患。如果反應器內丙烷濃度偏高時能及時發(fā)現(xiàn)并調整，就會有效控制丙烷濃度在正常范圍內。
